The fortress called Shel dkar mi ‘gyur rdo rje rdzong established by Si tu Chos kyi Rin chen in the 14th century is located in La stod lHo. Its relevance in the printing history is already well known. For the moment the first xylograph produced in Tibet seems to have been printed at Shel dkar in 1407.

It appears that further xylographs from Shel dkar are surfacing now, but this is something currently under investigation.
