Newly built cattle farms dot the Selenge valley. Herders share 1/3 of their annual young stock to support young farmers, who moved back from the cities. The initiative called ‘social herd’ was set by the Buddhist Sangkha about 10 years ago and nowadays this initiative involves about 200 local families (© S Namsaraeva)
