Yana Bezirganova is a social anthropologist and sociologist currently based at Birmingham City University. Her research interests lie in contemporary explorations of Buryat culture by entrepreneurs in the Republic of Buryatia in the context of ever-developing constraints that the Russian state puts on ethnic minorities.
