Sayana Namsaraeva
Sayana Namsaraeva is a Research Associate at the Mongolia & Inner Asia Studies Unit at the University of Cambridge. She obtained her PhD in 2004 in Qing Dynasty History from Saint Petersburg State University. Her research interests include the anthropology of the Russia-China-Mongolia border and ethnic groups divided by the border – Buryats, in particular; historical and present day border trade in North Asia, as well as broader issues of Mongolian, Siberian, and Chinese studies.
