Morten Axel Pedersen

Morten Axel Pedersen, M. Phil (Aarhus, 1997), PhD (Cambridge, 2002), is Professor at the Department of Anthropology, University of Copenhagen. He has carried more than four years of anthropological fieldwork and ethnographic expeditions in Mongolia, Far Eastern Russia and China. He is the author of Not Quite Shamans: Spirit Worlds and Political Lives in Northern Mongolia (Cornell University Press, 2011), which received honourable mention for the Bateson Prize in 2012.
