Ivan Sablin
Ivan Sablin is Associate Professor at the School of History, National Research University Higher School of Economics, Saint Petersburg. In 2014 he received his PhD from the University of Heidelberg. His research interests include transcultural interactions in Siberia, historical geographic information systems, and early Soviet history. He authored several articles on late imperial and Soviet Siberia. Ivan Sablin’s book “Governing Post-Imperial Siberia and Mongolia, 1911–24: Buddhism, Socialism, and Nationalism in State and Autonomy Building” has just been published with Routledge. His current project is devoted to the history of the Far Eastern Republic which existed between 1920 and 1922 in Siberia.
