Grégory Delaplace
Grégory Delaplace is a lecturer at the Université Paris Ouest where he heads the Department of Anthropology, and member of the Mongolia and Inner Asia Studies Unit (Cambridge). His research in Mongolia with Dörvöd herders in Mongolia’s northwest and in the capital city Ulaanbaatar led to the publication of a book (L’invention des morts en Mongolie contemporaine, 2009) and to several articles. As a member of the pilot project running at Cambridge in 2010-2011 (ESRC grant No. RES-075-25-0022), he co-edited the volume Frontier Encounters (Open Book Publishers, 2012) and authored its introduction. He received the Quai Branly Museum PhD award in 2008 and the Bronze Medal of the CNRS in 2015.
