In January 2022 the HimalConnect Project, a collaboration between the Mongolia & Inner Asia Studies Unit (Dr Hildegard Diemberger & Dr Riamsara Kuyakanon) and the University of Oslo (Dr Hanna Havnevik & Dr Astrid Hovden, hosted a successful digital conference:
‘CHANGING CLIMATE AND COMMUNITIES IN HIGH PLACES AND ICY SPACES’
The project funded by the Research Council of Norway was also supported by a grant from the Global Challenges Research Fund through the University of Cambridge. Speakers joined from Bhutan, Europe, Nepal, and the US.
