Ritualised death. Kazakh funeral rites in Western Kazakhstan

In my project "Kazakh burial rituals and its changes over time", I try to explore the importance of saying goodbye to the deceased and the evolution of the meaning of funerals over time. Based on funeral rituals among Kazakhs, I try to understand how these rituals have changed and what elements remain central. I would like to present a brief overview of the funeral ceremony and pay attention to the reflection of societal changes in the burial rites.
